Yes To: Review

A few months ago I purchased the Yes To: Cucumbers Facial Wipes, and the Yes To: Tomatoes Daily Clarifying Cleanser. I was desperate to find a new facial cleanser as my skin was starting to suffer with ache quite badly and the cleanser I was using at the time was not helping. I'd seen a few good reviews about Yes To products so I thought I'd give them a go. I have combination skin which is prone to acne, so as the label suggested, I picked up the Tomato Daily Cleanser as it's their best product for clearing bad breakouts. To match this, I also wanted the tomato facial wipes, but unfortunately the store was out of stock so I ended up getting the Cucumber facial wipes instead.

Yes To: Tomatoes Daily Clarifying Cleanser

The Tomatoes Daily Clarifying Cleanser is designed to maintain your skin's pH balance while removing excess oils and impurities. This I have been using for about 2-3 months, and to start off with, I honestly didn't really see any improvement. It was leaving my face feeling quite sticky and wasn't really helping my skin. The stickiness was due to not washing it completely off my face, I find it takes a lot more effort to wash it all off. But now after having used it for nearly 3 months I am slowly seeing some improvement. This may be because I've stopped using the Cucumber Facial Wipes, but I'll get to that in a bit. It's not completely cleared my acne, but I do feel it has contributed to getting clearer. The tube it comes in has not been the best if I'm honest. The cap doesn't close properly, which leads to it leaking, so I have to stand it up on its end. This might just be that I bought one with a faulty cap. I think I may buy this product again, so I can continue to see if it makes a bigger improvement to my skin.

Yes To: Cucumbers Facial Wipes

These face wipes gently remove dirt, sweat and make up from your face without having to rinse. I used these for about a month, for either during the day at home or just before using my cleanser. I'll have to say, I'm not fully happy with this product. I found whenever using a face wipe it left my face feeling irritated and tingly, which is surprising seeing as the Cucumber range is meant to be soothing. This might just be down to my skin type and having quite bad acne at the time. It was starting to get too much for my skin so I decided to stop using them, and that's when I started to notice a difference, so I think these wipes were making it worse. I'm keen to use their Tomato face wipes, as they might work better, but the Cucumber range for acne prone skin, I wouldn't recommend.

I'm pretty sure I will be buying more from the Tomato range, and I'll be staying clear from the Cucumber range. It definitely didn't agree with my skin.

Has anyone else used these Yes To products? Did you have the same reactions as I had to the face wipes? Or did they work wonders for you? Let me know your opinions in the comments!

  1. I've been using the Yes To Tomatoes line for about a year now- mostly just the cleanser and the wipes. It doesn't keep me 100% clear, but it's worked better than anything else I've used, and I feel like it's gentler on my skin. I like the wipes, since they make me feel like I'm still doing something about my acne and being good about routine even when I just use them to wipe off my makeup at night and fall into bed. They can be sticky too, for a minute, but I imagine if you washed afterwards it wouldn't leave a residue.
