Birchbox - October

It's time for the opening of my Birchbox! This is my second Birchbox I have received. I didn't write about last months as I signed up quite late so I only received it a little while ago.

October is breast cancer awareness month, so Birchbox has teamed up with Coppafeel to bring it's subscribers a lovely box which focuses on health and well being.

Inside the box was a pretty pink bag full of goodies, the usual card to explain a little about the box and what's inside, and a little information leaflet by Birchbox and Coppafeel about how to check yourself, but also a 14 day planner to help motivate you and to make you feel good. Just what I need now the days are getting darker quicker but also as it's getting rather cold!

So now for the lovely goodies in the bag! It was nice to see a few different variety of things. I received; Lollipops nail lacquer, Balance Me cleanse and smooth face balm, Pixi by Petra Shea Butter Lip Balm, Birchbox lipstick pen, Shaveworks: The cool fix, and KMS California HAIR PLAY Playable Texture.

I'm very keen to use the Playable Texture as my hair is very flat and lifeless sometimes, so it'll be nice to try something new. I'm already using the lip balm and I must say I do like it, however it doesn't last as long as others I've used, so you'll need to keep it on you to top up. I'm a bit apprehensive about using the face balm as my skin seems to be very sensitive to moisturisers, or any cream like products, so I will most likely save this for when my skin has calmed down a bit. The pen is a nice touch, but I find it slightly tacky... But that's just me! It's nice to have something slightly different though.

All in all, I am quite happy with this box. I love that Birchbox has partnered up with Coppafeel to support a very important subject. I think it's a great way to promote checking yourself regularly. I'll be honest, I don't check myself for lumps and bumps very often, but using the fun 14 day planner will encourage me to do it more often!

The only major problem I had this month was that the delivery driver left my box wedged underneath a ledge in the pouring rain so it got soaked! Luckily neither the box nor products were damaged, so I sat the box by the heater to dry off.

Have you got this box? What did you think of the products? Let me know in the comments!
