My 5 Shades Of Autumn

Lipstick and Autumn. 2 of my favourite things. Put them both together, and I'm one happy girlie! Autumn is the time of year for dark berry shades of lipstick, which I adore! I cannot express how large my lipstick collection is, but here are my top 5 shades that I'm wearing this Autumn.

From left to right; Stay Pout: Rule Breaker // Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet: Frambourjois // Max Factor Colour Elixir: Chilli // Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain: New York Scene // The Body Shop Colour Crush: Damson In Distress

5. Rouge Edition Velvet: Frambourjois

I absolutely love this range of lipstick. I currently have 4 of them. They last the whole day with little fading and they rarely smudge onto things, eg. Glasses and food. The shade is a little lighter than I would usually wear for Autumn, but it's still a lovely colour for those days I don't quite want my lips to stand out as much.

4. Stay Pout: Rule Breaker

This lipstick is from a range by Boots. I bought this about 8 or 9 months ago, but didn't end up wearing it as it wasn't the right time of year. I was just desperate to buy it as I loved the shade so much! It's a nice deep berry tone, however it is one I've found I have to top up every so often as it can rub off quite easily. It keeps my lips feeling soft and moisturised, and for £4.49, it's a bargain!

3. The Body Shop Colour Crush: Damson In Distress

Now I love this one a lot as it's a completely different shade to all the others. It has more of a purpley tone to it, rather than a berry red. It's perfect if one day I fancy having a bit of a change, as I wear berry tones very often! I do although find a lot of topping up is needed using this one, as it doesn't last very long.

2. Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain: New York Scene

This one is perfect for giving your lips a little bit of a pop! It leaves your lips very glossy and the shade is very bold. Having the name Moisture Stain is very accurate too. After applying this your lips feel very moisturised and it really does seem like it stains your lips as the lasting power is great! It'll feel like it's rubbing off, but it still holds on strong! The shade is more of a deep red, so perfect for nights out or days where you want to be noticed. I do find the applicator is sometimes difficult to use, you need to hold it in a very specific way, otherwise it goes everywhere.

1. Max Factor Colour Elixir: Chilli

Eeee, my fave! I cannot explain how much I love this one, and I am definitely wearing it the most. I find, as a combination, it's the best one I have. It lasts a long while, it's not glossy but it still has a bit of a shine to it and it feels perfect on your lips (not like you've caked it on). Max factor Colour Elixir is my favourite range of lipstick at the moment, hands down. It has the slightest glittery shine to it as well, which makes me feel wonderful when wearing it!

Have you tried any of these shades of lipsticks? Which one is your favourite?
Or have you got a different favourite? Please let me know, I would love to try it!
